FLAME Competition Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary

The 25th FLAME competition was held at the CRR Paris Regional Conservatory from April 14 to April 20, 2014. Over 300 candidates representing 40 countries participated in different disciplines: piano, violin, cello and singing. An international jury of 49 members was impressed by the quality of the performances. At the final concert an enthusiastic public of over 500 people heartily applauded the winners.

24TH FLAME Competition: Detector of Young Talents, Support, and Care of Winners

This inconspicuous first rate international music competition, open to every young candidate, is of the highest standard with two age categories: Category A (from 6 years old) and Category B (from 19 to 26 years old). Its success is the result of an outstanding organization, which for a quarter of a century has offered free admission to all competition selections and final concerts, through the enthusiasm and generosity of the members of Association FLAME.

Association FLAME

The Association FLAME was created in 1989 by Patrice Sciortino, composer, and Germaine Tocatlian, piano teacher at the Schola Cantorum in Paris. The objectives of FLAME are to identify, promote and support young talents at the beginning of their career.
