It has been two years since I visited Japan and spent eight awe-inspiring days in Tokyo and Kyoto – with a short trip to Mt Fuji. I decided to visit Japan because of its captivating sightseeing destinations and mesmerizing collage of the ancient and the modern.
Welcome to the wall of artsy fartsy pictures I took in 2012 as part of Project 365. A majority of the pictures were taken with an iPhone 4S and the remaining with a Nikon DSLR.
In 2012, I made a few New Year’s resolutions. While I may have fallen short of some self-improvement resolutions, I was able to see through Project 365. The idea behind this project was to take a picture each day and share it with friends and family on Facebook.
The twelve-hour flight had resulted in a first-rate jet lag. Unfortunately, Melatonine had not yet been marketed and I was desperately struggling to sleep in my tiny room at the Tokyo Hotel. One would assume that at fifty, after twenty years of extensive traveling, my body would have adjusted more easily to these time changes. But not at all! As a matter of fact, it was getting worse as the years went by.
